The Vegas Golden Knights (5-1-0) defeated the Los Angeles Kings (0-2-2) on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena, to extend their win streak to four games.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
After a scoreless first period, the Golden Knights struck first on the power play from a Trevor Connelly snapshot 2:37 into the second frame. Mark Stone and Mitch Marner picked up tallies on Connelly’s first career power-play goal. The Kings answered with a goal of their own on the man advantage with a goal from Artemi Panarin, leveling the score 1-1.

Regulation ended after neither team was able to find the back of the net. In overtime, Shea Theodore drew a tripping penalty and six seconds into the power play, Marner sent a shot from the point past Darcy Kuemper for the win. Carter Hart turned away 31 of 32 shots to give the Golden Knights their second win beyond regulation in as many games.
