The Vegas Golden Knights (5-2-0) fell 4-2 to the Minnesota Wild (4-1-1) on Monday at Grand Casino Arena, halting their win streak at four games.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
Matt Boldy, Max Shabanov, and Danila Yurov each registered a goal in the first period to give the Wild a 3-0 edge heading into the middle frame. Rasmus Andersson scored the first goal for the Golden Knights, and his first goal of the season, 2:37 into the second, as Raphael Lavoie carried the puck into the offensive zone where Tomas Hertl picked it up behind the net before sending to Andersson, who collected and fired a slap shot past Jesper Wallstedt. Lavoie’s assist was the forward’s first point of his NHL career.

William Karlsson also posted his first goal of the season midway through the third period with assists from Brett Howden and Mitch Marner. Karlsson found the back of the net on a two-on-one rush with Howden following an up-ice pass from Marner to bring Vegas within one. Joel Eriksson Ek potted the empty netter to seal the 4-2 win for Minnesota.
