The Vegas Golden Knights (9-2-1) picked up a 3-1 win against the San Jose Sharks in their first meeting in 418 days on Saturday afternoon at SAP Center.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Jonathan Marchessault opened the scoring when he batted in a power-play goal at the 13:13 mark to put Vegas ahead, 1-0. Mark Stone added a power-play goal of his own midway through the second period to give the visitors a two-goal edge. San Jose got on the board late in the middle frame as Tomas Hertl made it a 2-1 hockey game. In the third, Chandler Stephenson potted the third power-play goal of the afternoon for the Golden Knights as they took a 3-1 lead.

Jonathan Marchessault: Marchessault's goal was his fourth of the season.
Mark Stone: Stone's fourth goal of the year was his third game-winning goal.
Chandler Stephenson: Stephenson scored his fourth goal in as many games.
STAT OF THE KNIGHT
Dylan Coghlan appeared in his fifth NHL game while wearing his fifth different uniform combination in the NHL. He's worn the home jersey with a gray helmet, the gold jersey, the Reverse Retro jersey, the home jersey with a gold helmet and now the road kit.
