HOW IT WENT DOWN
Alex Tuch got Vegas on the board in a hectic first period as he snapped a shot by Jordan Binnington at 3:17. David Perron potted a pair of goals just four minutes apart and Jaden Schwartz added another as St. Louis took a 3-1 lead into the first intermission. Early in the second, Pacioretty buried his fourth goal of the year, but an unassisted tally from Jordan Kyrou put the Blues ahead 4-2 heading into the final frame. Pacioretty fired home a power-play goal midway through the third to make it a one-goal game and completed the hat trick with the game-tying goal in the final five minutes. Vegas and St. Louis went to overtime for the third time in their last three meetings at T-Mobile Arena, but neither team found the GWG in the five-minute session. In the shootout, Brayden Schenn roofed a shot on Robin Lehner and Tuch's final bid was denied by Binnington as the Blues snagged the 5-4 win.
