Flyers Announce Eric Lindros as Team Ambassador

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that Hockey Hall of Famer and Flyers Alum Eric Lindros has signed on as an official team ambassador and will kick the partnership off by joining the hockey club in participating in the ALL IN Challenge, a digital fundraiser focused on raising millions of dollars for COVID-19 hunger relief. This new partnership will also celebrate the relationship between Lindros and the Flyers and bring the hockey legend back to Philadelphia for community events, fan appearances, and corporate partner engagements once the NHL season resumes.

"Few players in Flyers history inspire as much excitement and passion among the fanbase as Eric Lindros, and during this unprecedented time, those positive feelings are exactly what we want to deliver to our fans," said Valerie Camillo, President of Business Operations, Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center. "This ambassadorship with Eric has been in the works for quite some time, and we made the decision to kick it off right now, not only as a special engagement for our fans, but even more importantly, as an integral way to assist those impacted by COVID-19."

Through the newly created ALL IN Challenge, sponsored by the All In Challenge Foundation, the world's preeminent sports, music and entertainment figures are donating their most prized possessions once-in-a-lifetime experiences for an online auction. The ALL IN Challenge was started by Fanatics executive chairman Michael Rubin - who after transforming Fanatics' 360K sq. ft. MLB uniform manufacturing facility in Easton, PA into a plant that is now making thousands of masks and gowns per day - turned his attention to how he could do more. Eric Lindros played 486 games with the Flyers from 1992-2000, netting 659 points (290 goals, 369 assists) and earning his spot as the youngest caption in the club's history at just 21 years old. Following his time with the Flyers, Lindros went on to play for seven more years, before retiring in 2007 after nearly 15 years in the NHL. Recognized as one of the top players in NHL history, Lindros was inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame in 2014, the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2016, and in 2018 his jersey #88 was retired by the Flyers during a special in-game ceremony.
