Group B belongs to Matt Coronato and the Americans.
With a 3-2 win over Sweden to wrap up the round robin Sunday, the States finish the prelims with a perfect 5-0 record, and will now face the Czechs in Wednesday's World Junior quarterfinal.
Coronato, meanwhile, continues to roll, scoring his third and fourth goals of the tournament to lead the way. His first was a cheeky, short-side chop to beat Swedish puck-stopper Jesper Wallstedt under the arm, while the second - an insurance marker in the third period - was an absolute snipe, blistering a shot top cheese from the near faceoff circle.

"Wow. Some kind of heat!" is how TSN colour commentator Mike Johnson described it.
Agreed.
Logan Cooley forced a turnover in the offensive zone before dishing off to Landon Slaggert, who put the puck on a tee.
Coronato dropped to one knee and picked the corner like a 10-year vet.

"Every game we want to get to the net, get pucks there," told TSN's Tessa Bonhomme at the second intermission. "It's important to get in the goalie's eyes and be around him (like that).
"Playing smart, playing hard. I think we're starting to do that and we're pretty consistent as a team, so we're happy with how we're going."
The Flames prospect - who was taken in the first round, 13th overall, in the 2021 NHL Draft - finished the night with the two goals, three shots, and 15:45 in ice time. For his efforts, the 19-year-old was named the Player of the Game for Team USA.

Brett Berard opened the scoring for the U.S. with a powerplay marker at 6:35 of the first. He stuffed home his own rebound after Thomas Bordeleau made a slick feed from the point down to the goalmouth.
After an evenly played opening 20 - with the U.S. holding a slim, 15-13 edge on the shot clock - the Americans took over in the second, out-shooting the Swedes 15-3.
Coronato's third-period strike made it a 3-0 game at 5:26, but Emil Andrae broke the shutout bid at 11:38. Then, with the goalie pulled - and with American blueliner Wyatt Kaiser off serving a delay of game penalty - Ake Stakkestad shovelled home a loose puck at the doorstep to make it a one-goal game.
The Swedes pressed for the tying tally, but were unable to convert in the dying seconds.
The round robin will come to a close on Monday when Sweden will play Germany for second place in Group B, and Canada and Finland will face off for the top spot in Group A.
