GILBERT ON PHYSICAL PLAY AND OVERALL GROWTH IN HIS GAME

"I think its important. I can create some energy. I can make it a factor in games and in a playoff series as well. As time goes on, those blows can wear on people. I think it's a good part of the game and big part of my game. I think just like anything in life, the more you do stuff the more comfortable you are going to be. It's a testament to the guys in the room who have made me feel very comfortable here as well."

ON THE BUZZ IN THE ROOM PLAYING AT MULLETT ARENA

"I like it. I played at Notre Dame so I'm used to a lot of college rinks with my time there. It feels and looks kind of like that. It's a cool rink. It's fun, the student section was always fun to play in front of when I was in school. Not sure what kind of atmosphere it will be but I'm sure with the nature of the building and how it's set up should be pretty energetic and fun."

"The next three, obviously, very important"

ASSISTANT COACH RYAN HUSKA ON THE MINDSET

"There are some things that you take from every game that are positive things and there are some things that you have to better at, there's no doubt. So you go over that with the players but I think it's about mindset now. We put ourselves in a position where every game we are playing is must win. We don't have a choice. We have to be at our very best and that's not for 57 minutes, not for 55 minutes, it's for the full 60 minutes plus if it has to be that."

"I think it's about mindset now"

ON PLAYING WITH DESPERATION

"We have a lot of guys that have been around and done that before. They know we're at. We're not in position we want to be sitting at right now. We as a staff approach it as a must win for sure and I know that players are that way as well. When you see them walking around the room and the conversations you hear, they change as the season goes on. Anticipating them to be really good for us tonight."

ON THE PLAY OF DENNIS GILBERT

"The one thing when you look at Dennis and the way he's played his game, he's come into the lineup and almost made people take notice that he's not coming out of the lineup. He's approached every one of our games with us that way. I will say the fighting aside, he's trying to play to his identity. The identity we need him to play to and a lot of that comes from understanding who he is and what he has to do. Also when you get your opportunity you never know if you'll get another one and he's approached it the right way where he plays every game like it's his last game until he can prove over and over again that I deserve to be here and be here every night because I'm going to play the same way consistently."
