SEASON SERIES: Last week, the Flames opened their three-game season series with the Blackhawks with a 3-2 shootout win. Calgary goaltender Brian Elliott made 31 saves in regulation and overtime and then denied all seven Blackhawks' shooters in the shootout. Former Blackhawk Kris Versteeg scored the lone goal in the shootout. Sam Bennett and Sean Monahan scored for the Flames in regulation while the Blackhawks received goals from Patrick Kane and Brian Campbell. The two clubs wrap up their season series on Nov. 18 when the Blackhawks make a stop at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

FLAMES TEAM SCOPE: The Flames are coming off a 3-1 loss to the Washington Capitals on Sunday but have won three of their last four games. Calgary has outscored their opponents 13-8 in their last four skates while Elliott has made 111 saves on 118 shots in that span. Johnny Gaudreau leads the Flames in scoring this season with two goals and seven points in 10 games. Michael Frolik, Troy Brouwer, Sam Bennett, Dougie Hamilton, and Mikael Backlund all trail him with six points each.
BLACKHAWKS TEAM SCOPE: Chicago heads into Tuesday's match-up on a two-game winning streak. Since their setback to the Flames last week, the Blackhawks have defeated the New Jersey Devils (3-2 in overtime) and the LA Kings (3-0). They currently sit third in the Central Division with a 5-3-1 record and 11 points. Artem Anisimov leads Chicago in scoring with six goals and 11 points in nine games. After going pointless in his first two games of the year, the Russian centreman is now on a seven-game point streak. Goaltender Corey Crawford is 3-3-1 this year with a 2.44 GAA and a .919 save percentage.
