We didn't win the NHL All-Star final but I still had a blast during today's games.
After getting in breakfast with my family, I headed over to the Staples Center for today's 3-on-3 games. Before we played, though, we got to shake hands with some of the game's best players. The NHL brought in many of the guys named to the Top 100 Players list and they welcomed us onto the ice.
It was a really cool experience and I was able to shake hands with Eric Lindros, who I was a fan of growing up.

We came out flying after that and beat the Central Division 10-3 to get into the final game. I played with Bo Horvat and Cam Fowler and the coaches kept us together for the second game as well.
In the second game, we were able to take the lead heading into the second period but Cam Atkinson and Wayne Simmonds' quick goals in the second gave the Metropolitan Division the win. It was a great game and it was really fun to play against Cam, Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin and all of the stars from the East.
Now I'm heading home to prepare for the second half of the season. We headed into the break with some momentum after our win in Ottawa last week and we want to keep that rolling when we take on the Wild on Wednesday.

Thanks for following along this weekend! It's an honour to represent the Flames at the All-Star Weekend and I had a great time in LA.
