The Calgary Flames will retire former Flames captain, Jarome Iginla's number 12 jersey on March 2nd in a ceremony prior to their game versus the Minnesota Wild. Iginla announced his official retirement on July 30, 2018 after playing 20 seasons in the National Hockey League.
The Scotiabank Saddledome doors will open at 5:30 PM as the ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30 PM. The ceremony will be hosted by the former voice of the Calgary Flames and Hockey Hall of Famer, Peter Maher, with many Flames alumni in attendance to celebrate the career of Jarome Iginla.

Flames players will be wearing commemorative Jarome Iginla jerseys during warm-ups with select few being auctioned off on the concourse throughout the game. The remainder of the jerseys will be up for auction online following the game. Jarome Iginla Night merchandise will be available at all FanAttic locations in the Scotiabank Saddledome including limited edition warm-up pucks. Also, for fans arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 PM, your ticket will entitle you to a limited edition Jarome Iginla Budweiser - must be legal drinking age.

The 18th captain in franchise history amassed 525 goals, 570 assists, and 1,095 points in 1,219 games as a member of the Flames while establishing himself as one of the best players of his generation.
Iginla was a six-time NHL All-Star (2002, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2012) in Calgary. He was also named to the NHL First All-Star Team three times (2002, 2008, 2009). Jarome leads the franchise in games played (1219), goals (525), points (1095), even strength goals (351), power play goals (161), and game-winning-goals (83).
