CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames announced today that their retro jerseys will be worn as their third jerseys for a dozen dates beginning 2016-17. The club will don the classic red and yellow uniform at 12 home games this year, including some of the most notable dates on their calendar.

The Flames will sport their retro jerseys for the first time at the home opener against the Edmonton Oilers on Friday, October 14, 2016. Calgary will also put on these classic sweaters for this season's New Year's Eve battle with the Arizona Coyotes, the annual Retro Night on Saturday, January 21, 2017, when they host the Oilers once again, and the home finale - Fan Appreciation Night - on April 2, 2017, versus the Anaheim Ducks.
In total, the team will wear the jersey at 12 home games over the course of the 2016-17 season:
