The Turning Point:
The Flames were behind the 8-ball almost right from the drop of the puck. Berkly Catton opened the scoring 2:22 into the contest, before Mackie Samoskevich and Bobby McMann added singles before the game was eight minutes old.
Calgary had opportunities to claw into the deficit in the middle frame. Morgan Frost was denied by Kraken goalie Joey Daccord on a pair of chances from in tight, then Daccord prevented Adam Klapka from finding paydirt on a wraparound attempt a few minutes later. Shane Wright and Samoskevich added Seattle's fourth and fifth markers shortly thereafter, putting the game out of reach.
Morgan Frost finally solved Daccord with 5:35 to play in the third period on a Calgary powerplay, tapping home a Matvei Gridin centring feed from his position at the back post.
