Training camp is officially underway in Shenzhen, China!
While both the Flames and Bruins were held off the ice on Thursday due to a delay with their gear, everything was in place for practice on Friday.
Head coach Bill Peters put the crew through an uptempo hour-and-a-half skate at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre, a multi-sport facility that has a stadium which holds 60,334 spectators, an arena which has a 18,000 capacity and a swimming venue which can host an audience of up to 3,000.
"It was good to get on the ice, we haven't skated in a while obviously," Peters told CalgaryFlames.com "It was our first opportunity to go out there as a group. I think the guys got better as we went along and we got a lot accomplished here today."
One task the team tackled was getting new lines and pairings acclimatized to one another. The group ran through these combinations at practice this morning:

Next up on the Flames' itinerary is their first match-up against the Bruins - Saturday's game will start at 12:30 AM MT, with Sportsnet carrying the television broadcast.
