FLAMES (35-28-10: 80 pts.) vs. COYOTES (23-37-11: 57 pts.)

1. US

After dropping a 4-0 decision to the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday afternoon, the Flames are looking to rebound against the Coyotes. Calgary had plenty of jump in Vegas, outshooting the Golden Knights 19-6 in the opening period, but a rough stretch in the second period saw their opponents put four past Mike Smith. Smith ended the game with 27 saves on 31 shots. Dougie Hamilton led the Flames with five shots on net in the setback ... With 80 points on the year, the Flames are now four points back of the second Wildcard spot in the Western Conference. The LA Kings currently occupy that spot, while the Colorado Avalanche are in the first Wildcard spot with 86 points. Calgary is six points back of third in the Pacific Division, a spot that Anaheim holds.

2. THEM

The Coyotes, who are last in the Western Conference, are 2-3-0 in their last five games. Their last victory came on Mar. 13 when they edged the Kings 4-3 in a shootout. Tonight's game is the last in a five-game homestand for the Coyotes. They will head out on a six-game road trip tomorrow, stopping in Buffalo, Raleigh, Sunrise, Tampa Bay, Las Vegas, and LA. Rookie Clayton Keller leads the team in scoring with 52 points on the year. Derek Stepan trails him with 45 points and defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson rounds out of the top three in scoring with 36 points.

3. US vs. THEM

The Flames are 2-0-0 against the Coyotes this year, picking up a 3-0 win on Nov. 30 and a 5-2 victory on Feb. 22. Mark Jankowski and Johnny Gaudreau lead Calgary with three points against Arizona this season. Mike Smith made 28 saves against his former team in the 3-0 win, posting his second shutout of the year, and Jon Gillies stopped 35 of the 37 shots he faced in the 5-2 win. The clubs close out their four-game season series on Apr. 3 in Calgary.

4. THIS, THAT & THE OTHER

THIS:Matt Stajan is two games shy of 1000 in his career. The veteran forward has 146 goals and 412 points in 998 games ... THAT: Calgary is in the midst of their last back-to-back set this season. They have gone 6-3-1 in the second game of back-to-back sets this season ... THE OTHER:Johnny Gaudreau is tied with Nikita Kucherov for the league lead in road points this season with 45. He has 11 goals and 34 assists in 37 games away from the Scotiabank Saddledome.

5. PLAYERS TO WATCH

Flames: C Mark Jankowski
Jankowski has been superb against the Coyotes this season, scoring three goals in the two games he has played against them. The pivot has three points in his last five games and scored his 13th goal of the year on Friday against San Jose.
Coyotes: C Clayton Keller
The 19-year-old forward has been tremendous for the Coyotes all year and leads them in scoring with 20 goals and 52 points through 71 games. Keller, the seventh overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, heads into tonight's game with points in his last four games and is coming off a one-goal performance against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday.
