The loss dropped Anaheim to 5-11-1 (.324) on the season, eighth in the Pacific Division. The Ducks now sit 2-7-1 away from home ice.

Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras scored for Anaheim. Cam Fowler tallied two assists for the second straight game. John Gibson stopped 30-of-33 Winnipeg shots in his 13th start of the season.

Connor scored all three goals for the Jets, his first hat trick since 2019. Connor has five points in his last two games (3-2=5). Connor Hellebuyck earned the win in net for Winnipeg, his eighth of the season, turning aside 29-of-31 Anaheim attempts.
The Ducks took the night's first lead on a goal that won't go down as a power-play tally but was still a textbook example of executing with a man advantage. As a delayed interference penalty loomed against Winnipeg and Gibson raced to the bench, Terry joined the play as the extra attacker, taking a pass from Fowler at the top of the zone. The Ducks then packed the slot, attempting to give Terry as much space as possible to work one-on-one against Jets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois and providing a screen on Hellebuyck. Terry got the puck to the middle of the ice on his forehand, firing it through the sea of bodies in front, off Hellebuyck's glove and through the former Vezina Trophy-winning netminder to put Anaheim ahead.

With the goal, Terry became the first Duck to reach 20 points this season. The 25-year-old winger leads the team in points and assists, and is second in goals.
Fowler has back-to-back two assist games (0-4=4) and is now 10 shy of 300 for his NHL career. Carrick grabbed the secondary assist for his first point of the season.
The Jets would answer midway through the second period on a power-play goal. Dubois brought the puck right to the crease from the side of the net, with the rebound bouncing to Connor following behind his centerman. With Dubois now applying an inadvertent screen, Connor quickly shoveled a shot through the traffic and past an unsure Gibson, tying the game at one. The Ducks bench appeared to consider a challenge for goaltender interference, but ultimately elected not to request the official review.
Winnipeg nearly took the lead on another strong power play later in the period, teeing off on Gibson for much of the two minutes. Gibson responded with a couple of big stops though and Simon Benoit came up with a massive shot block on the Jets' best look, getting in front of Cole Perfetti's one-timer while the Anaheim goaltender was sprawled in his crease.
Instead that 1-1 score would hold until late in the third period, when the second of two goals scored just 28 seconds apart temporarily paused the home side's celebration.
Connor struck for the second time to put the Jets ahead with 5:45 to play in regulation, one-timing home a centering feed from Sam Gagner behind the Ducks net.
Connor has 10 goals in 13 career games against the Ducks (10-5=15) and points in six straight matchups.
Zegras answered 28 seconds later off a give-and-go with linemate Adam Henrique. The two first connected on a stretch pass up ice, with Henrique taking the pass at the Winnipeg blue line and entering the zone before returning the favor to Zegras racing down left wing. Zegras took the puck right to the net, lifting a forehand shot over Hellebuyck's right shoulder to tie the game again.

Zegras has points in three straight games (1-3=4) and leads the Ducks in goals (eight) this season. Henrique's assist extended his point streak to five games (3-2=5).
It appeared that would be enough to push the game to overtime, but Connor's third of the night would come in the final minute to give the hosts a 3-2 victory. Scheifele got to an errant shot behind the net, spinning to set up Connor for a one-timer in the slot. The Michigan-born winger had just enough space to get his shot off, firing it through Gibson for the deciding goal.
The Ducks begin a two-game set with the St. Louis Blues Saturday night at Enterprise Center.
