The Ducks renew acquiantances with a familiar foe tonight, hosting the San Jose Sharks in a preseason rematch at Honda Center (7 p.m.; TV: Bally Sports So Cal; Radio: AM 830 KLAA).

Anaheim opened the 2021 preseason Sunday with a 6-3 win over San Jose. Troy Terry (1-1=2), Sonny Milano (0-2=2), Alexander Volkov (1-1=2) and Kodie Curran (1-1=2) led the Ducks' attack with multi-point nights. Lukas Dostal and Olle Eriksson-Ek split the contest in net as the latter earned his first career NHL preseason win.
"There were a lot of things we liked in our game on Sunday]," said assistant coach Newell Brown. "Our compete level was high. Our defensemen scored goals for us and that's something we're looking for this year. We want our defense to be part of our attack."
The Ducks will look to bounce back from Wednesday's 4-1 setback against the Coyotes. Danny O'Regan scored the lone goal for Anaheim.

The Sharks visit Anaheim for the second time in five days. San Jose skated to a 1-1 mark in split-squad games on Sunday before falling to the Kings 4-3 at SAP Center Tuesday night. Despite the loss, 2021 first-round pick William Eklund collected two points in his second career NHL preseason appearance.
