Ducks Reassign Theodore to San Diego

The Ducks have reassigned defenseman Shea Theodore to the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Theodore, 21 (8/3/95), collected 1-5=6 points with 16 penalty minutes (PIM) in 21 games with Anaheim this season. He also recorded his third career power-play goal and first career shorthanded point (assist) in 2016-17. Since making his NHL debut last season, the 6-1, 194-pound defenseman has earned 4-10=14 points with 18 PIM in 40 career NHL games.

Selected by Anaheim in the first round (26th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Theodore has scored 13-42=55 points in 72 career AHL games with San Diego (2015-present) and Norfolk (2014-15). In nine games with the Gulls this season, Theodore has recorded seven assists (0-7=7) with a +4 rating and eight PIM.
