As Orange County's only Level 1 Trauma Center, UCI Medical Center requires more than 1,000 blood donations per month in order to meet the needs of patients receiving trauma care. There is no substitute for human blood and as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the need is even greater, especially for "O" type blood. Honda Center blood drive donations will help UCI Health maintain its supply and save lives in our community.
The safety of donors and staff will be the utmost priority for UCI Health. Blood Donor Services is considered a healthcare environment. All donors and attendees will be required to wear a mask and follow social distancing until further notice.
