"It's the same with Travis," says Chico Resch. "Tom Zajac is a fine, humble man. Travis' mom, Trish, is a self-sacrificing parent. They laid the foundation for their four boys."
In Winnipeg, the Zajac's hometown, they're known as "The Royal Family" yet respected for their humility.
Resch: "They're humble, dedicated, and responsible."
Any dressing room visitor will find Travis chatting with younger players. In an unobtrusive situation such as that Zajac's personal qualities are evident.
"You watch him on the ice," adds Resch and you realize how much better he is and, more importantly, what he means to the team. Put it this way, he's simply one of the finest individuals I've ever met."
