It's time for our weekly catchup with our prospect pool. Several teams are resuming play after a pause in their game-play due to COVID-19. Others, like the KHL, are returning after a league break. There's also some good news for players here in North America, with the announcement of start dates for the NCAA.

IN RUSSIA

Shakir Mukhamadullin
Shakir Mukhamadullin was part of Team Russia at the Karjala Cup in Finland, as part of the Euro Hockey Tour. Mukhamadullin was sporting an 'A' on his jersey with the Russian team which came out the winner of the tournament, beating Finland in the final. In the three-game tournament, Mukhamadullin had two assists.

It was an opportunity the 19-year-old was excited for.
"I think everyone knows that all Russian national teams always like to play on the front foot," he was quoted as saying. "I was really happy when the coaches called me up to the National Team, I want to prove my worth on the ice and show why they believe in me."

The tournament took place during a break in the Kontinental Hockey League season.
Arseni Gritsyuk
Gritsyuk was also a member of Russia's National Team at the Karjala Cup. The left-winger was held without a point, finishing the three games a plus-1.
He now returns to his KHL club, with Avangard Omsk where he has played six games this season. He has yet to register a point at the KHL level but has nine (4g, 5a) in six games with Omskie Yastreby in the MHL.

IN SWEDEN

Alexander Holtz
Holtz and his SHL team Djurgarden are back in the swing of things after a three-week break due to the coronavirus outbreak. Djurgarden returned to play with a 4-2 loss to IKO. Holtz was held without a point, playing 15:41 time on ice and four shots on goal.
Jesper Boqvist
Boqvist played in three games this past week with Timra in Sweden's Tier 2 division and was an instrumental player in three wins in three games this past week with two goals and an assist.

Overall, Boqvist has 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in 12 games.
Fabian Zetterlund
Zetterlund also has been loaned to a team in Sweden's Tier 2 program, playing with AIK. This past week, Zetterlund has played in three games, registering a goal and an assist. In all, Zetterlund has played in six games with AIK with a goal and two assists.

IN FINLAND

Janne Kuokkanen
Kuokkanen was held off the board in two games with Karpat in Liiga, Finland's top league. In 10 games he has a goal and two assists.

IN CZECH REPUBLIC

Jaromir Pytlik
Pytlik was another Devils prospect part of the Karjala Cup, suiting up with the Czech Republic. He was held without a point in the three games. The Czech Republic claimed third place at the tournament.

IN SLOVAKIA

Marian Studenic
Studenic played one game this week with HC Slovan Bratislava. Slovan won the game 2-0 over Košice. Studenic was held without a point.
Despite being held off the board, Studenic's line with Milan Kytnár at center and Brendan Ranford on the left-wing has been the most successful line for the club. In six games played, the Devils draft pick has three goals and a single assist.

IN CANADA

Dawson Mercer
Dawson Mercer is getting ready to participate in Canada's World Junior Selection Camp. He is one of six players at camp who was on last year's gold medal-winning team.
Camp opens in Red Deer, Alberta on November 16th.
Mercer's Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season has been paused due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the province.
Graeme Clarke
Graeme Clarke's OHL season has yet to start because of restrictions in Ontario from organized hockey. However, Clarke has been invited to Canada's World Junior Selection Camp beginning November 16th.

UNITED STATES

The NCAA has announced preliminary start dates for college hockey to begin. The Big 10 will start November 13th, Hockey East is scheduled to start on November 20th.
The Devils have several prospects playing college hockey, with Aarne Talvite (Penn State), Patrick Moynihan (Providence College), Tyce Thompson (Providence College), Artem Shlaine, Matthew Hellickson (Notre Dame), Case McCarthy (BU), Ethan Edwards (Sioux City) and Cole Brady (Arizona State) all looking to play their first games of the 2020-21 season.
