The Devils defeated the Colorado Avalanche, 3-2, tonight at Prudential Center with goals by Pavel Zacha, Andy Greene (PPG) and Kyle Palmieri. Here's what we learned:
1) The Devils put up 40 shots tonight and as Taylor Hall said after the game, "Any time you get 40 shots, you put yourself in a good position to win." Their main focus in the first period was to start the game strong and eliminate Colorado's opportunities because they're known to come out of the gate strong.
