Kasper played in the Swedish Hockey League, facing men for the first time in his career this past season. That experience taught him a lot, including what it was like to be a professional player and how to compete at a different level.
While playing for Rogle, Kasper played 46 games and had seven goals and four assists for 11 points. With Rogle's Jr team, the center played 12 games where he had six goals and seven assists for 13 points. Kasper also represented Austria at the 2022 Men's World Championship where he picked up two assists through seven games.
The center was a popular player at the combine, talking with 30 of the 32 NHL teams. He interviewed with the Devils, and the two teams he didn't speak with were the Dallas Stars and Carolina Hurricanes.
Kasper's father played professional hockey in Austria and represented on the National stage, so he understands a lot of what it takes to make it to the professional leagues. The center discussed his father's impact on his game and said he continues to help him, pointing out details of how he can get better like stronger compete, and move his feet more.
The center summed up what he told teams he would bring if they drafted him, and it's a great way to wrap up what Kasper will bring to the franchise that drafts him: "My compete level (is strong), I always try to win, I can help teams win important games."
