As the New Jersey Devils head down to Philadelphia this afternoon to take on Kevin Hayes and the Philadelphia Flyers tomorrow at Wells Fargo Center (7:00 PM, MSG, Devils Hockey Network), the club today is launching the "Broadway/Hayesy" Jersey Auction, in memory of late NHL alum Jimmy Hayes, former Devil and Kevin's brother. The auction features the Devils' 'BROADWAY' warm-up jerseys and the Blackhawks' 'HAYESY' warm-up jerseys worn before the teams faced off in the 2021-22 Season Opener on October 15, 2021 at Prudential Center. Funds raised from the auction will benefit the Hayes family and charities of their choosing. Fans can bid on the jerseys at

The teams paid tribute to the former NHL player with special warm-up jerseys featuring his NHL numbers from his time playing for New Jersey (10) and Chicago (39). The nameplates of each set of jerseys were customized with his nicknames "Broadway" and "Hayesy". The Devils hosted Hayes' family members during the game and honored him with a moment of silence prior to puck drop.
The jerseys will be available for auction from today, Monday, December 13, 2021, starting at 12:00 PM ET through Monday, December 27, 2021. The jerseys' end times will be staggered beginning at 5 PM ET.
Hayes played 334 NHL games during his seven-year career, earning 109 points (54 goals, 55 assists). The Dorchester native was drafted by Toronto in 2011 and played for the Chicago Blackhawks (2011-2013), the Florida Panthers (2013-2015), the Boston Bruins (2015-2017) and the New Jersey Devils (2017-2018).
