The New Jersey Devils prospect Dawson Mercer will have a busy holiday season.
On Friday, Hockey Canada announced Dawson Mercer (Chicoutimi, QMJHL) is among the 25 players that will represent Canada at the 2021 World Junior Championship, held in Alberta, Canada.
Mercer is one of six returning players that took home gold at the 2020 tournament.
The final roster was made after a 26-day selection camp, which included a two-week quarantine period due to a COVID-19 positive test. The tournament is scheduled to begin on December 25th, 2020. Canada's first game will be on Day 2, December 26th against Germany at 6 pm EST.
Devils prospect Graeme Clarke (Ottawa 67s, OHL) was part of the final round of cuts.
