MONTREAL - The Canadiens dropped a 4-0 decision to the Maple Leafs on Tuesday night at the Bell Centre. They now trail the series 3-1.

Interim head coach Dominique Ducharme made one lineup change for the tail end of the back-to-back.
Eric Staal returned after sitting out Game 3. The 36-year-old veteran took Artturi Lehkonen's spot. Lehkonen was forced to leave Monday night's contest due to injury.
Ducharme shuffled his forward lines as well.

For his part, goaltender Carey Price made his fourth consecutive start.
Price made 27 saves in Monday night's 2-1 defeat.

The 33-year-old Anahim Lake, BC native was tested early in the first period, denying veteran Jason Spezza on a breakaway.

No goals were scored in the opening frame. Toronto led 9-6 in shots after 20 minutes.
The Maple Leafs opened the scoring at the 1:27 mark of the second period.
Right-winger William Nylander capped a three-way passing play to give Sheldon Keefe's squad a 1-0 lead.

The 25-year-old Swede extended his goal streak to four straight games on the play.
Forwards Alex Galchenyuk and Alexander Kerfoot assisted on the tally.
The Maple Leafs went up 2-0 with 7:32 left in the middle stanza.
Spezza buried a saucer feed from Galchenyuk on a 2-on-1.

It was Spezza's second goal of the series and his 27th career playoff tally.
Defenseman Jake Muzzin collected the secondary assist on the sequence.
Toronto added another goal on the power play with 5:04 left before the break.
Veteran Joe Thornton tipped a pass from Spezza past Price to make it 3-0.

It was Thornton's first goal of the series and his 32nd career playoff tally.
Kerfoot collected his second assist of the game on the play.
That's the way things stood after 40 minutes. Toronto also led 24-18 in shots.
Galchenyuk capped the scoring with an empty-netter in the third period. It was his third point of the night.
For his part, Kerfoot collected his third assist on the play.
Price made 24 saves in the loss.
Game 5 will be played on Thursday night at Scotiabank Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
