PITTSBURGH – The Canadiens rallied back from a four-goal deficit to force overtime but ultimately fell 6-5 to the Penguins at PPG Paints Arena on Saturday. 

Cole Caufield (2), Ivan Demidov, Chris Kreider and Nick Suzuki found the back of the net for Montreal. Kreider earned his first two points as a member of the Habs with a goal and an assist.  

During the game, the Club announced that Alexandre Carrier was being evaluated and would not return to the contest.
