TORONTO - The Canadiens' time in the bubble has come to a close.

The Habs entered Friday's game facing elimination for a second time this series. On Friday, they were forced to do so without the services of spark plug winger Brendan Gallagher, who was unavailable for the game after suffering a broken jaw in Game 5. With Gallagher out, Alex Belzile drew back into the lineup and Artturi Lehkonen slid into Gallagher's usual spot to the right of Tomas Tatar and Phillip Danault.

The Flyers got things started early, with Ivan Provorov getting the visitors on the board just 28 seconds into the tilt. Kevin Hayes made it a 2-0 game five minutes later.

Nick Suzuki replied for the Habs midway through the period with the man advantage, potting his third of the postseason to cut the Flyers' lead to 2-1.

Michael Raffl tipped one past Carey Price early in the second period, but Suzuki came to the rescue once again, notching his second of the night to make it a one-goal game heading into the second intermission.

Suzuki became one of the youngest rookies in franchise history to score two or more goals in a playoff game. He finished his inaugural NHL postseason with seven points in 10 games.

Despite dominating Philly in shots 33-17 in the game, the Habs weren't able to get the equalizer in the third and the Flyers skated to a 3-2 victory to advance to the second round. After a Cinderella performance to beat the Penguins in the Qualifying Round and a gutsy performance in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals to bring the heavily-favored Flyers to six games, the Canadiens will be leaving the Toronto bubble on Saturday with their heads held high, looking ahead to the 2020-21 campaign.
