Medical Update: Norlinder and Price

Blueliner Mattias Norlinder is dealing with a minor injury, while netminder Carey Price took some time off the ice

BROSSARD - Head coach Dominique Ducharme provided a couple of medical updates on Wednesday.

Defenseman Mattias Norlinder, who was absent from Team Red's practice session, suffered a minor injury during Monday night's preseason game against the Toronto Maple Leafs that will keep him off the ice for a few days.

At this point, Ducharme doesn't expect the 21-year-old Swedish prospect to play in either of the upcoming exhibition games against Ottawa on Friday or Saturday.
The Canadiens' bench boss also provided a brief update on the health status of goaltender Carey Price, who hasn't participated in training camp practices while he continues to recover from offseason knee surgery.
"We're taking it day by day. Not much more right now. He had to take a couple of days off the ice just to make sure there's no swelling and stuff," explained Ducharme. "We'll see what happens next week."
