With the NHL's regular season schedule shifting to 84 games, a shortened training camp offers some advantages for players.
“We get to start sooner, so you have to be ready. I’d imagine the chances of getting injured are lower, and you’ll have more energy for the season,” offered defenseman Alexandre Carrier.
Speaking of energy, his teammate Ivan Demidov shared what he learned about following his first full season in the League.
“Manage your time. When you need your rest, when you need to practice, you just have to feel your body right. That’s probably the main thing that I learned. [...] With 84 games, you need a lot of rest."
As players spoke to the media, Team B was next up on the ice. Check out how the lines and D pairings shaped up.
