Kenny Agostino Frankie

MONTREAL - The Canadiens' annual hospital visits are always a special experience for the players and patients alike, and that was especially true this time around for forward Kenny Agostino.

Recalled from the Laval Rocket on November 7, the 26-year-old New Jersey native was touched by his encounters with kids during the visit, most notably a little girl named Frankie, who was more than happy to make a new friend.
The pair enjoyed some lollipops and decorated brownies together before Frankie treated Agostino to a dance routine.
Coincidentally, it was the youngster's last day in the hospital before heading home.
So how did Agostino become such a natural with little ones?
"I don't know. I've always liked kids," he posited. "I come from a big, loving family - little cousins running around. We all just love kids."
His mom's profession might have something to do with it as well.
"I think my mom being a nanny, and working with kids on a daily basis… our whole family enjoys little babies and little kids," shared Agostino, who was leading Laval with 10 points in 12 games when he joined the Habs. "Maybe that has something to do with it."

Elsewhere at the Children's, a few parents with infant patients were hoping to hand off their babies to a Hab for a quick photo op. And while some players might have felt a little uneasy with the responsibility, Agostino was more than willing to take hold of the precious cargo for as long as possible.
At the end of the day, Agostino came away from the experience feeling both inspired and fulfilled from helping others and forging new friendships along the way.

"It's an enjoyable experience for all of us in general to just do something like that. I enjoy holding babies, I enjoy playing with little kids," he described. "It was a really rewarding experience overall."

"It was a great day. I think you saw all the guys really enjoyed themselves. It's really rewarding to see just how that brightens up those kids' days," concluded Agostino. "That's easy for us to do, and it means a lot to them."
