MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced on Monday the appointment of Francis St-Pierre as assistant to the equipment manager.

St-Pierre has been serving as equipment manager with the Rimouski Oceanic in the QMJHL since 2020. This was his second stint with this organization since the start of his career.
From 2013 to 2019, he served as assistant to the equipment manager with the Canadiens' affiliate club, following the team from Hamilton to St. John's and finally to Laval with the Rocket.
St-Pierre will work alongside the new equipment manager, Patrick Langlois, following the retirement of Pierre Gervais at the end of the 2021-22 season.
