PRESS RELEASE
MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced Monday that nine (9) players have been released from training camp. Eight of the nine players have been reassigned to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

The following players have been assigned to St. John's:
Daniel Audette, Jacob De La Rose, Jeremy Grégoire, Charles Hudon, Charlie Lindgren, Stefan Matteau (w), Nikita Scherbak and Chris Terry (w).
(w) - requires NHL waivers before being assigned to IceCaps.
Forward Jeremiah Addison (Windsor - OHL) was reassigned to his junior team.
There are still 27 players at camp (15 forwards, 9 defensemen, 3 goaltenders).
The IceCaps will begin their training camp today in Newfoundland. They will play three preseason games against the Toronto Marlies on October 6, 7 and 9.
