BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeneyannounced today, March 19, that the team has recalled forward Anton Blidh from Providence on an emergency basis.
Blidh has skated in 59 games with Providence this season, recording nine goals and 13 assists for a career-high 22 points and a plus-nine rating. The 23-year-old winger appeared in 19 games with Boston in 2016-17, tallying one goal and one assist. He also played 53 games with Providence last season, notching 10 goals and six assists for 16 points and a plus-six rating. In his first professional season with Providence in 2015-16, the 6-foot, 201-pound forward posted 10 goals and four assists for 14 points in 65 appearances.
The Molnlycke, Sweden native was originally selected by the Bruins in the sixth round (180th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
