Alexey Toropchenko sustained an upper-body injury in the season opener on Friday night in Dallas.
Toropchenko was behind the net when he was hit by two Stars players into the glass with 16:32 remaining in the second period.
He was assisted to the locker room by Head Athletic Trainer Ray Barile and did not return.
Blues Head Coach Jim Montgomery said after the game that Toropchenko is "more than day-to-day" but more information would be available after results of an MRI.
Toropchenko had eight shifts in Friday's game for 5 minutes and 8 seconds of ice time.
