Colton Parayko will not be in the lineup Thursday when the Blues host the San Jose Sharks at 7 p.m. (FSMW, 101 ESPN).
Parayko has been dealing with a nagging injury and has not practiced the last two days. Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said Wednesday that Parayko needs time to heal.

"We need him to get better, so we decided he will not play (Thursday)," Berube said.
The Blues will get Marco Scandella back in the lineup on Thursday. Scandella has missed six games with an upper-body injury.
"I feel like it's tough to watch the games. I get a little more anxious when I'm watching them," Scandella said. "You want to get in there, help the boys out. The team has been banged up lately. I just want to get in the lineup and do what I can to help."
"He's a defender, a big guy. Physical player. Just makes the easy outlet play," Berube said about Scandella. "He's got a good shot, in the zone he can shoot pucks. He plays with a lot of energy and emotion out there and again, he's a big defender."
Torey Krug, who didn't play in the third period Monday with an upper-body injury, will be good to go.
Sammy Blais (upper-body) was a game-time decision but appears to be in.
