St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today that the Blues have signed defenseman Colin Ralph to a three-year entry-level contract that will begin with the 2026-27 season.

He will report to the Blues’ AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds, on a professional tryout. 

Ralph, 20, was drafted in the second round, No. 48 overall, of the 2024 NHL Draft.

This season, he appeared in 37 games with Michigan State University, recording 11 points (one goal, 10 assists) and 29 penalty minutes. Ralph led Michigan State to the Big Ten regular season championship and an appearance in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament.  

Last season, the Maple Grove, Minnesota, native posted eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 35 games for St. Cloud State University, earning a selection to the NCHC All-Rookie Team. He also represented the United States at the 2025 U-20 World Junior Championship, posting one assist in seven tournament games to help Team USA capture the gold medal.

Overall, Ralph has played in 72 NCAA games over the past two seasons, totaling 19 points (two goals, 17 assists) and 49 penalty minutes.

As a junior, Ralph spent the 2021-22 season in St. Louis, playing for CarShield AAA U16 and Kirkwood High School.
