COLUMBUS, OHIO ---The Columbus Blue have recalled defenseman Gabriel Carlsson, left wing Sonny Milano and goaltender Joonas Korpisalo from the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate and assigned goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks to Cleveland, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Korpisalo made 32 saves, while Carlsson and Milano were each +1 in Cleveland's 3-1 win over the Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday.
Carlsson, 20, has recorded an assist in eight games with the Blue Jackets this season and has posted 0-2-2 in 10 career games since making his NHL debut at the end of last season. The Orebro, Sweden native has also collected 0-1-1 in four career AHL games. He was Columbus' second first round pick, 29th overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft.
