In his fourth All-Star appearance, Seth Jones made his mark over the weekend by recording his sixth goal in the competition. With his newly added goal, he now leads all defensemen in goals since the 3-on-3 format began in 2016.
"It was an awesome weekend," Jones said. "We're selected to be here, and we want to be here for the fans in this league. It's fun to get together and we play against each other when we're competing. It's nice because we can still compete against each other but play with each other as well."

The competition began with the Central and Pacific divisions squaring off in the semifinal round as Jones was only one of three defensemen for his team. The veteran defenseman helped push the Central into the lead in the first half of the game at 2-1 with a pass from St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko.

The 6-foot-4 defenseman finished the first game of the night with three points (1G, 2A), plus-three and one shot in total after beating the Pacific, 6-4, and advanced to the Final Round of the contest.
After being down 3-0 to the Atlantic division in the first half of the game, the Central made a fighting effort to look for their first victory in the 3-on-3 Final. However, Detroit Red Wings' forward Dylan Larkin and Florida Panther's forward and All-Star MVP Matthew Tkachuk shut them down finishing with a score of 7-5.
The veteran defenseman finished the tournament with three points, plus-two, four shots on goal and averaged over five minutes of ice time. He also competed in the Hardest Shot competition on Friday night posting speeds over 93 mph and going against Rasmus Dahlin, Josh Morrissey, Alex Ovechkin and Elias Pettersson.
"We had some chemistry in the first game, and I had some [scoring] chances in the final that I couldn't bury," Jones said. "I enjoyed playing with those guys and our team is a pretty good job, it's too bad we didn't get the win."
Jones will rejoin the Blackhawks in Chicago as they prepare to take on the Anaheim Ducks with a 7:30 p.m. puck drop on Tuesday night.
