The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled goaltender Jean-Francois Berube (ZHAWN-fran-SWUH beh-ROO-bay) from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs and placed goaltender Corey Crawford on injured reserve.
Berube, 26, is 6-6-0 with a 2.54 goals against average, .913 save percentage and two shutouts in 12 appearances with the IceHogs this season. He posted a 3-2-2 record with a 3.42 GAA and .889 SV% in 14 appearances with the New York Islanders last season. In 21 career NHL games, spanning two seasons (2015-17), Berube has registered a 6-4-3 mark with a 3.11 GAA and .900 SV%. He was signed by the Blackhawks on July 1, 2017.

The Repentigny, Quebec, native paced the American Hockey League with 37 wins during the 2014-15 campaign, helping the Manchester Monarchs win the 2015 Calder Cup. He finished the regular-season with a 37-9-6 record and ranked eighth in the league with a 2.18 GAA before going 13-3 during the 2015 Calder Cup Playoffs en route to the championship. He was also named an AHL All-Star in 2015. Berube has appeared in 122 career AHL games between the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (2015-16), Manchester Monarchs (2009-10, 2012-15) and IceHogs (2017).
Crawford is 11-7-2, is seventh in the NHL with a 2.29 GAA and shares fourth with a .930 SV% in 21 appearances.
