The Colorado Avalanche dropped a 4-1 result to the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday night at Canadian Life Centre.
J.T. Compher scored in the loss. Darcy Kuemper made 40 saves on 44 shots.

5:03 - COL 1, WPG 0 -J.T. Compher finally delivered the game's icebreaker as Erik Johnson skated down the wall in transition and fed Compher in the slot. Jack Johnson also registered an assist.
9:04 - WPG 1, COL 1 -Off a faceoff win, Josh Morrissey fired a slap shot on net and it was deflected by Adam Lowry past Darcy Kuemper to tie the score 1-1.
10:23 - WPG 2, COL 1 -The Jets doubled their lead 2-1 as they circulated the puck d-to-d and sent a shot on net where Blake Wheeler put home the rebound. Dylan Samberg and Neal Pionk picked up the assists.
12:25 - WPG 3, COL 1 - Kyle Connor extended Winnipeg's lead as his team forced a turnover as the Avs attempted to exit their own zone. Instead, Jansen Harkins fed Connor down the slot where he beat Kuemper in tight.
16:18 - WPG 4, COL 1 -Off a faceoff win, Nikolaj Ehlers stepped into the slot with the puck and wired a shot past Kuemper. Paul Stastny collected the assist.
SPECIAL TEAMS:
The Avalanche were 0-for-2 on the power play and 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.
GOALTENDING BATTLE:
Darcy Kuemper made 40 saves on 44 shots for the Avalanche.
Connor Hellebuyck made 30 saves on 31 shots for the Jets.
