Uber2016

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL) announced today a new partnership with Uber, making the innovative technology company the official rideshare provider of the Minnesota Wild.
With Uber, riders can push a button on their smartphone to connect with drivers from their community for a reliable, affordable way to get from A to B. The partnership will provide new benefits to Wild fans traveling to and from Xcel Energy Center this season. Uber-branded signage will designate the official Uber pick-up and drop-off location outside of Gate 4 on 5th Street. The dedicated area is easily accessible before and after games.

"We are thrilled to partner with Uber in order to continue elevating the Wild fan experience," said Carin Anderson, vice president of corporate partnership for the Minnesota Wild. "The collaboration allows us to offer another convenient, reliable and affordable transportation option for fans."

As part of the partnership, Uber will receive promotion on wild.com, Wild social media, e-newsletters and StadiumVision, Xcel Energy Center's digital content delivery system.
"As the team's official ridesharing partner, Uber is now a great option for Wild fans who want a quick and convenient ride to or from the game," Uber Minnesota General Manager Carrol Chang said. "We've seen in cities across the country that when a reliable ride is just the push of a button away, people are more likely to use rideshare."
Uber first launched in Minneapolis-St. Paul in September 2012 and has continued to expand its services to offer more reliable options for riders throughout the Twin Cities.
