What 19-year-old Logan Stankoven is doing in the 2022 WHL Playoffs is truly the stuff of legend.

The Stars' 2021 second-round draft pick on Tuesday recorded his fourth hat trick of the postseason for Kamloops in a 6-3 victory over Seattle in Game 3 of the conference finals, giving him 17 goals in just 13 games. He also has 11 assists and 28 points over that span.
NOTE: Stankoven added an assist in Game 4 (2-1 OTL) on Wednesday, giving him 29 points in 14 playoff games.
His first of three goals on Tuesday came just 27 seconds in, the second time in the postseason he's struck within the first 60 seconds of a game (also April 22 vs. Spokane, 0:44).

In the past 10 years, only one player has scored more goals in the WHL Playoffs in a single postseason year since Stankoven: Ty Rattie, who had 20 in 2013 and 19 in 2012. Stankoven's third goal of the game on Tuesday tied him with Morgan Geekie, who had 17 in 2018.
If Stankoven and the Blazers advance to the WHL Championship, he has a chance to break the all-time mark of goals in a single WHL postseason set by Blair Chapman, who had 24 with the Saskatoon Blades in 1976 (20 GP).

It's a carryover from a terrific regular season for the 5-foot-7, 170-pound forward, who led the Blazers and ranked third in the WHL with 104 points (45 goals, 59 assists) in 59 games. He stood atop the WHL leaderboard in points per game, averaging 1.76 with the Blazers.
"With Logan, you don't ever worry about the off-ice stuff," Stars Director of Player Personnel Rich Peverley said in a
feature about the club's top prospects in April
. "He's very committed. He incredibly works hard. He just seems like a guy who's going to get it. He wants to get it. He's very determined. He has an NHL shot, and we knew that going in when we drafted him. This year, he's put himself in situations to become more of a playmaker. He's been playing in the middle most of the year, but he's played on the wing a little bit."
Stankoven's been an unstoppable force in the series against Seattle, scoring seven goals (including two hat tricks) on 21 shots in the three games thus far. (Kamloops holds a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series that continues Wednesday, May 25).
