New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the team will open 2022-23 Training Camp, presented by Northwell Health, on Wednesday, September 21 with player medicals. The team will hold its first on-ice session on Thursday, September 22 at the MSG Training Center in Tarrytown. Training Camp will run until Sunday, October 9 and includes six preseason games, all beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET - Sept. 26 vs. NYI, Sept. 27 at BOS, Sept. 29 vs. NJD, Sept. 30 at NJD, Oct. 5 vs. BOS, and Oct. 8 at NYI.
This fall, the club has invited
66 players
to Training Camp, broken down into 41 forwards, 18 defensemen and seven goaltenders. Twenty-two players played at least one NHL game for the Rangers last season while off-season additions Ryan Carpenter, Turner Elson, Gustav Rydahl, Vincent Trocheck, Ty Emberson, Andy Welinski, Jaroslav Halak and Louis Domingue will represent the Blueshirts for the first time. Three draft picks (Maxim Barbashev, Bryce McConnell-Barker, Adam Sykora) from the 2022 Entry Draft will also attend camp. Following a season that saw him score 52 goals and set a team record with 26 power play goals, Chris Kreider will begin his 12th season (includes 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs) with New York, the longest tenure of any active Ranger.

To begin Training Camp, the Rangers'
roster
is split into three teams. On Thursday, September 22, Team A and B will scrimmage at the MSG Training Center beginning at 10:00 a.m., and Team C will be on the ice for practice beginning at 12:45 p.m. On Friday, September 23, Team A and C will scrimmage at 10:00 a.m. while Team B practices at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, September 24 will see Team B and C scrimmage at 10:00 a.m. with Team A practicing at 12:45 p.m. On all three days, players will be available to the media following their respective team's practice session. Rangers head coach Gerard Gallant will be available to the media on Wednesday, September 21 at 3:00 p.m. at the MSG Training Center.
Additional information regarding practice times and morning skates during the preseason will be provided on a day-by-day basis following the opening weekend of Training Camp.
