Team Canada wins World Cup

TORONTO -- Team Canada won the World Cup of Hockey 2016 on Thursday, but needed a late rally to make it happen.
Down 1-0 in the third period, Team Canada scored twice in the final three minutes to defeat Team Europe 2-1 and win the World Cup.

Brad Marchand scored his fifth goal of the tournament with 43.1 seconds left in regulation to give Canada its 16th straight win in best-on-best tournaments. His Boston Bruins teammate, Patrice Bergeron, made it 1-1 at 17:07 of the third period, finally getting the puck past Team Europe goalie Jaroslav Halak, who made 32 saves.
Team Canada goalie Carey Price made 32 saves. Center Sidney Crosby, who had three goals and seven assists in six games, was named World Cup MVP.
