Golden Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury has 483 wins, one behind Ed Belfour for fourth in NHL history and seven behind Roberto Luongo for third.
The 36-year-old might never catch Patrick Roy, second with 551 wins, let alone Martin Brodeur, first with 691. But what a career and what a season it's been for Fleury.
Fleury was supposed to be the odd man out after losing the No. 1 job to Robin Lehner last season and watching Lehner sign a five-year contract Oct. 3, and all he has done is go 17-7-0 with an NHL career-low 2.06 goals-against average and an NHL career-high .927 save percentage.
As of now, for the first time, he should be a finalist for the Vezina Trophy, which goes to the top goalie as voted by the NHL general managers.

Stat of the week

3 -- Teams that have made the Stanley Cup Playoffs in each of their first four seasons: the Oilers (13 seasons), New York Rangers (nine) and St. Louis Blues (six). The Golden Knights are on track to be the fourth. Say what you want about the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft and the more favorable rules for Vegas, but no one saw this coming. This also is now a 31-team league with a salary cap, and 16 teams make the playoffs.

Each and every game involving Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl is can't-miss. Watch them host the Calgary Flames in the Battle of Alberta on Friday, then watch them play the Canucks on "Hockey Night in Canada."
McDavid and Draisaitl were the first two players to reach 50 points last season and again this season. The last time NHL teammates were the first two players to reach the 50-point mark in consecutive seasons? Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1995-96 and 1996-97.
The team McDavid and Draisaitl each has scored the most points against? Calgary. McDavid has 36 points (21 goals, 15 assists) in 26 games against the Flames. Draisaitl has 32 points (five goals, 27 assists) in 30 games against them.
The team McDavid and Draisaitl each has scored the next-most points against? Vancouver. McDavid has 35 points (13 goals, 22 assists) in 26 games against the Canucks. Draisaitl has 31 points (nine goals, 22 assists) in 30 games against them.

Lightning dominating

It's supposed to be so difficult to repeat as Stanley Cup champions, and it is difficult. But the Penguins did it in 2016 and '17, and would you bet against the Lightning right now?
They have the best record in the NHL with a .758 points percentage. Andrei Vasilevskiy is the clear favorite for the Vezina. Victor Hedman is the clear favorite for the Norris Trophy, which goes to the top defenseman as voted by the Professional Hockey Writers' Association. The Lightning lead the NHL in goals per game at 3.61 with no individual among the scoring leaders. That's balance.
Oh, and forward
Nikita Kucherov
, who won the Hart Trophy as most valuable player and Art Ross Trophy as scoring champion in 2018-19, has been out all season with a hip injury and could return for the playoffs.
