kraken split canucks

There is a lot more riding on the
Seattle Kraken's home opener
than you might think. For instance, salmon.

John Horgan, the Premier of British Columbia, the province that contains Vancouver, threw down the gauntlet and Washington Governor Jay Inslee accepted.
Horgan shared a picture of himself in a Vancouver Canucks jersey and tagged Inslee, asking Inslee to accept a friendly wager on the result of the Kraken's first-ever game at Climate Pledge Arena on Saturday.

If the Kraken win, Premier Hogan will send some of British Columbia's finest sockeye salmon to Seattle.
Governor Inslee accepted, but didn't publicly specify if the prize he would send will be seafood related or not.

But no matter if the goods are travelling north or south after the game, it's safe to say the League has a budding new rivalry.
