CAPITALS (37-21-7) at DUCKS (33-21-12)

The Game

Forward Alex Ovechkin can become the 20th player to score 600 goals in the NHL when the Washington Capitals play the Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center on Tuesday.

Ovechkin needs two goals to become the third NHL player in the past 10 years to reach the milestone, joining Colorado Avalanche forward Jarome Iginla (Jan. 4, 2016) and Ducks forward Teemu Selanne (March 21, 2010). Ovechkin scored his League-leading 40th goal of the season in a 5-2 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2018 NHL Stadium Series in Annapolis, Maryland on Saturday.

The Capitals lead the Metropolitan Division by one point over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Ducks can move ahead of the San Jose Sharks for second place in the Pacific Division with a win. They passed the Los Angeles Kings for third with a 6-3 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.

Players to watch

Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov has nine points (four goals, five assists) in his past four games.

Ducks forward Rickard Rakell has six points (five goals, assist) in his past three games.
