Trocheck hosted Cuylle for the entire 2024 season, and the young forward bonded with the entire Trocheck family throughout their time together.
"(Trocheck) was like, 'If you'd rather stay here it's up to you. You're welcome to stay here,'" Cuylle said in 2024. "He's an easy guy to get along with, great family."
The Rangers traded Trocheck to the Mammoth in July, and Sunday marks the veteran’s first time back in the Big Apple.
“It’s always tough whenever you’re in a place for a few years and you get used to the area," Trocheck said Wednesday. "You fall in love with a place, which we obviously did. It’s tough to move on but that is part of the business. It happens. I’ve done it a couple of times in my career now.”
During his arrival at the World’s Most Famous Arena, Trocheck stopped to take photos with Rangers and Mammoth fans alike.
