The Tampa Bay Lightning are trying to make these uncertain times a little easier for those in need.

Captain Steven Stamkos announced the Lightning players are donating 500,000 meals to the Feeding Tampa Bay food pantry and funding part-time workers at Amalie Arena.

The players' food donation will help seniors, economically devastated families and children who are missing meals in the Tampa Bay area because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Lightning also encourage fans to donate

if they can.
Stamkos announced the pledges in a video posted to Twitter and the team website Wednesday.
"Definitely an unprecedented time in the world right now," Stamkos said. "There's a lot of uncertainty, it's a very stressful time. Little scary, but we're going to get through this together. We're going to get through this as a community."
