DALLAS - The Flames' top line will have a new look tonight when they take on the Dallas Stars at 6:30 p.m. MT.
Chris Stewart, acquired yesterday off of waivers from the Minnesota Wild, will skate alongside Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan.
"Getting an opportunity to play with two of the young, best hockey players in this league, it's going to be fun and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
"I know what I've got to bring to the table and it's a huge opportunity here. That's the only way to put it. You've got to keep your spot, you've got to come to work every day and you've got to take advantage of it."

With Micheal Ferland out of the lineup with an injury, the addition of Stewart means Gaudreau and Monahan will have another physical winger to open up space for them on the attack. Stewart, who skates with Monahan in summer and knows his game well, sees himself a nice fit for the dynamic duo.
"They work a pretty good two-man game. They feed off each other. They've got great chemistry. For me personally with them, I think I've just got to try to be their workhorse, get on the forecheck, get them the puck, create some space, and get to the net. Less is going to be more with them and that's the recipe for success."
Head coach Glen Gulutzan wants to see how his new winger will fare with the youngsters but noted that Stewart will likely take shifts on different lines as well.
"That's how it will start but I did tell Stewie today that I am probably going to move him around a little bit. You want to give a guy a heads up before you go into the game and say, 'Hey, I might move you around a little bit. You never know where chemistry comes from but I'm going to start you there.' That's what it is."
Stewart spent time with Gulutzan throughout the morning skate, getting caught up on what the coaching staff would like to see from him in his Flames debut.
The message was simple.
"Just energy," Gulutzan stated. "It's just that energy and that physicality in his game that he can bring. He's a big body, he can skate. I just want him to play a hard game and not have to think that he has to do anything special. That's what we talked about today. Just go out and play hard."
In 645 NHL games, Stewart has 159 goals and 318 points. In 47 skates this season, he has netted nine goals and 13 points.
